Norman Rockwell
Norman Rockwell's artist statement was, "I am an artist. Art isn't my job. It's a way of life. It's about feelings and emotions, concepts and observations, saying what I have to say".
Rockwell was an American artist who captured the essence of Americana in his paintings and illustrations. His work is known for its photorealistic style, which involved taking his own photographs to create his paintings. Rockwell is best known for his work with The Saturday Evening Post, where he painted over 320 cover images, and for his annual calendars with the Boy Scouts of America.
